The Typographic Circle.

This brief was set up by Pentagram for the company The Typographic Circle.

As a supplement to it’s magazine, ‘Circular’, The Circle asked for us to produce a series of special books/publications on specific people who have given talks for The Circle. The publications can be of any size & format but should work as a series. They did not have to be like a magazine but should be thought of as books or ‘special editions’. 

The style of the publications could NOT be a copy or pastiche of the designer you feature. But should be a distinct & original typographic solution that would sit well with the other material the Circle has produced.

I looked at 3 designers that had given talks for The Circle.

The size is A3.

The tittle of my special books will be embossed so they are not just a visual impact from the size but an experience to touch.
